Meet Your Coach

My name is Kayla Shambry, and I am a Life Coach and Mentor based in Vancouver, Washington. I serve in ministry alongside my husband, who is the Lead Pastor of Northeast Community Fellowship Church in Portland, Oregon.

In the spring of 2012, after a suicide attempt, I made a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ. That moment marked a turning point in my life — one rooted in survival, grace, and the clear understanding that my life had purpose. Since then, I have navigated many difficult seasons, including heartbreak, divorce, and the loss of my son Ezra at birth. These experiences could have defined me, but instead became part of a deeper healing journey.
Through faith, therapy, and intentional self-work, I chose healing over resignation and growth over remaining stuck. I have spent years unpacking trauma, identifying emotional wounds and triggers, and learning how to live from truth rather than pain. That journey continues to shape both my life and
my work.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Benedict College and a graduate certificate in Christian counseling from Gateway Seminary. I am also a Certified Advanced-Level Biblical Life Coach and Mentor. My approach blends faith-centered wisdom, emotional intelligence, and trauma-informed care to support individuals and couples as they navigate healing, identity restoration, and life transitions.

My mission is to help others understand that their identity is not rooted in trauma or past seasons, but in truth, growth, and redemption. I walk with women as they reclaim their narrative, build clarity and confidence, and step intentionally into what’s next.

This work is not about fixing what is broken, it’s about restoring what has always been there.

Why The Name Beauty Redeemed
Beauty Redeemed was birthed from Isaiah 61:3 — “to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. "

It reminds us that even in seasons of grief, loss, or brokenness, God has the power to redeem our stories—to exchange sorrow for joy, despair for praise, and shame for strength. It’s more than a name; it’s a declaration of God’s redemptive power. It represents the journey from brokenness to wholeness, from pain to purpose, and from loss to life renewed. Through Christ, what once felt wasted is made beautiful again. Every scar becomes a story of grace. Every setback becomes a setup for divine transformation.

The beauty here isn’t just external—it’s spiritual and internal. It symbolizes the renewal of the heart, mind, and soul through God’s grace. True beauty comes from the redemption story God writes in each of our lives.
“He makes everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11

Beauty Redeemed stands as a reminder that no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve lost, God can redeem your story and reveal His glory through it.
